Diploma pathways & academic structure

TAGIS offers flexible routes for families and schools. Students may follow the full American pathway with us, or complement their studies in another country through a structured dual-diploma program.

Pathway 1

Full American International High School Diploma

Students complete all required American credits through TAGIS and Avant Garde Academy. Learning takes place online, hybrid or onsite in Tuscany, with access to our full menu of electives, STEAM projects and experiential modules.

Pathway 2

Dual Diploma (National + American)

In collaboration with partner schools, we map students’ national curriculum and recognize equivalent subjects. Learners then complete a reduced set of required U.S. courses (for example U.S. History, U.S. Government, English 3 & 4 and electives) to graduate with a second, American High School Diploma.

Pathway 3

Micro-internships, certifications & applied learning

Students complement their academic pathway with structured micro-internships and applied learning experiences, gaining practical skills and recognized certification alongside their diploma studies.

  • Short-term micro-internships with local and international partners.
  • Project-based placements in STEAM, sustainability, hospitality, entrepreneurship and cultural industries.
  • Official certificates of completion issued by TAGIS and partner organizations.
  • Documented outcomes to support portfolios, transcript narratives and university applications.

Experiential learning, micro-internships & camps

Learning at TAGIS extends far beyond the classroom. We design authentic experiences that connect students with real contexts, professionals and communities in Italy and abroad.

Micro-internships & shadowing
